Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA)
The Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) was formed in 1996 for U.S. teams and is now in its 12th season. Thirteen teams play May-September in Eastern and Western divisions.
Atlanta Dream
The Atlanta Dream is in the Eastern division and has been a part of the WNBA since 2008 when the Dream played their first game against the Connecticut Sun. Their name comes from the famous "I Have a Dream" speech by Atlantan Martin Luther King, Jr.
Under the direction of head coach Marynell Meadors, the Atlanta Dream had already surpassed their entire win total of their inaugural season by the 2009 All-Star break. The Atlanta Dream are sure to bring us a winning season as they play at Philips Arena.
